For Refreshment Only Sunday (FROS) gets Oscar-licious!

You guys know I run a high-brow, classy FROS program here. Every week, I bring you the best of the best of the best. Quality – that’s what I strive for.

And good abs.

In keeping with that concept, and in honor of the new list of Academy Award nominees, I thought I’d do a few weeks of Academy Award Winning FROS. You know the men, the ones who play the heroes of all of those movies we’ve loved to love.

To begin the Oscarliciousness is a man who is up for his first ever Academy Award. A man who plays a painter on a soap opera and who did, in real life, paint work based on that soap opera. Yeah, that sort of confused me, too. He’s also published a selection of short stories and is currently working on his PhD in literature at Yale University.

All of that AND he’s up for an Oscar AND he has The Abs. Who is he?

He’s James Franco, who is up for an Oscar for his performance in 127, a movie about the real-life experience of a hiker who, in order to survive after he was trapped by a large bolder, cut off his own arm. The movie has been met with huge critical acclaim.

Here’s Franco discussing the movie:

He’s simply amazing. A writer, painter, producer, actor – all that, AND he looks like this:

Can I pick ‘em, or what?

And in case you’re wondering about his abs:

Stay tuned! There’s more Oscar-liciousness coming NEXT FROS!
