And so there I was, in the movie theater . . .

. . . watching Jason Bateman in this:

The movie — funny. Jennifer Aniston plays a great maneater. She was scary good at it.

Here she is with Jason Bateman, who was the ultimate eye candy in HORRIBLE BOSSES. Seriously, the man gets better looking every year.

There’s something about him that makes you want to curl up with him on the couch and eat Ben and Jerry’s while snuggling and catching the latest Sex and the City. He looks THAT comfortable.

He’s also supposedly very fond of his daughter, who is just as adorable as he is:

You can tell that he laughs a lot. It shows in the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles. I love that in a man.

Happy FROS, m’dears! Have you seen HORRIBLE BOSSES? If not, get thee to a theater near you pronto! JASON IS WAITING!!!

I absolutely HATE Jennifer Aniston. HATE HER!!!! Just… yeah… Everything about her makes me want to puke.

Jason Bateman… He was okay until I watched THE EX and now I can’t stand to look at him without wanting to strangle him, too. So, I’m skipping this movie.

  2. KellyProellocks says:

He has charming laugh lines, very charming laugh lines. Thanks Karen!

  3. gloria says:

He is a droll, funny man and has that sly charm. I’ve been thinking about seeing this movie so on your recommendation, I’ll take a chance. I really don’t like Anniston but I can be hopeful about her performance.

  4. Judy F says:

I think he is just adorable. I so want to see this movie since my former boss and now her daughter (current boss) are the worst bosses I have ever had.

  5. Karen Hawkins says:

B, as usual, thank you for visiting.

KellyP, a man with a good sense of humor is worth gold isn’t He? I loooiove that!

  6. Karen Hawkins says:

Gloria, if you don’t like Aniston, then definitely see the movie. Her character is so unlikabke that it works … AND she gets her comeuppance, too. I’m no Aniston fan, either. In fact, the villian in my current series is named Aniston. But Jason Bateman looked GREAT.

JudyF, I’ve had a bad boss before, too, and it made the movie even more fun to watch. Just don’t get any ideas…. well, not unless they’re about Jason, here. :) He looked verrrry sharp!

  7. Judy F says:

Ok Karen I will try. LOL

  8. KellyProellocks says:

A man with a sense of humor is definitely worth his weight in gold. Just in case anyone was wondering, the way sexy French chef, Manu, won DWTS 2011 tonight and also scored 3 10s in the freestyle dance.

  9. dbrown3400 says:

I don’t get a chance to get out to the movies much, but I’m now looking forward to the DVD. He certainly has charm.

  10. Gannon says:

I think Jason is adorable! I loved him on “Arrested Development.”

  11. Angela S. says:

I haven’t been overly fond of Jason Bateman in the past until lately… I think as he has gotten older and matured he appeals to me. I kind of lumped him in the ‘Michael J Fox’ box (whom I’m not particularly fond of but don’t hate either), but lately he has appeared in things that have sparked my interest. Whether he plays a bad guy or a good guy, I think his acting has improved 100-fold.

And I too like how his eyes crinkle when he smiles and that is charming… on just about any man. He’s married to Paul Anka’s daughter, which I found interesting.

I agree that Jennfer Aniston couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag. Her performance in “Friends with Money” cinched that for me… She and Jennifer Lopez could drop off the face of the earth and we would be all the better for it. :::sarcastic eye roll:::

But Horrible Bosses looks like a funny movie… I’ll be sure to get it when it comes to Netflix.

  12. Kathleen says:

I always had a thing for Jason Bateman, back when he was in The Hogan Family series.. He was always so cute and funny… Just what I like in a guy.. But he has that little ‘Devil of a smile” that come out once in awhile that makes him very, very attractive…

  13. christina P says:

well I absolutely loe, LOVE, jennifer anniston. I do want to see this movie, and jason in recent years has become a very good eye candy. thanks karen for a great wake up!!!!!

  14. TrishD says:

I love Jennifer Anniston!! And I’ve always loved Jason Bateman!!!

Thank you for the very nice pictures of him. I’m so glad that he is finally getting the attention he deserves. I could sit on my deck cudding with him in front of the fire all night. Just don’t tell my husband that. He thinks George Clooney is his only competition. :)

  15. Julia London says:

I can’t wait to see this movie, Karen. I love the cast. And I’m with you — Jason Bateman is hot.

  16. Sabrina Jeffries says:

I have loved Jason Bateman ever since he was in Silver Spoons (yes, I’m showing my age). I loved him and Jennifer in The Switch last year (he was just adorable in that movie), so I’ll enjoy seeing them together again. Woohoo!

  17. Sheridan says:

I am another in the “not really an Aniston fan” category, but this one has had some decent reviews overall, so – should it come to my wee town – I might check it out.. If not, then Netflix it is!

And Jason Bateman cracked me up in Dodgeball. He has always been a cutie and another one that has gotten better with age. His persona has always seemed so approachable, like he would be fun to hang out with at a BBQ or something.

  18. evlqn says:

I will probably wait until it comes out in DVD because I don’t get to see many first run movies so I hold out for the ones I really want to see. HP is big on my list, Cowboys & Aliens, Transformers.Yeah I know they are kind of action type movies with a sci-fi twist but I like them. Besides, Harrison Ford & Daniel Craig in one shot.

  19. AmyS says:

Everytime I see this trailer on tv, it cracks me up. I just love the look of Colin Farrell… he looks so sleazy.

I love Jason Bateman, and I am glad to see him in more and more movies lately. I loved him in Juno and Arrested Development.

  20. Karen Hawkins says:

KallyP, no, I didn’t see that, but i’m off to youtube it and watch. He is SO cute. Hmmm…. I sense FROS potential!

dbrown, he’d make a great netflix or movie rental. It was a fun movie — not the best I’ve ever seen, but full of chackles and grins and, well, Jason. :)

  21. Karen Hawkins says:

Gannon, I looooved him in Arrested Development! That was a smart show. I miss it. :(

Angela S, I’m with you. I only recently found him sexy, within the last few years, in fact. I had no idea he was married to Paul Anka’s daughter, but what a cute kiddo!!!

  22. LouisaCornell says:

I have always liked Jason Bateman and he is one of those men who has gone from cute to handsome as he’s matured. I liked him in Silver Spoons too, Sabrina, showing my age right along with you. And he does wacky comedy really well.

Not a huge Jennifer Anniston fan, but I have heard she does a great job as an evil boss in this one. Since all but one of my bosses is EVIL INCARNATE this movie definitely appeals to me!

  23. Karen Hawkins says:

Kathleen, ‘a little devil of a smile’ is EXACTLY the thing that makes him so cute. Well said!

christina, Jennifer Aniston seems to always play the same part over and over BUT she played a really out of character part in this movie and did GREAT. I like her better, having seen her play this part, even though she played a horrible boss. It’s cool that she’s willing to try something different!

  24. Karen Hawkins says:

TrishD, lol! We won’t tell your husband … if you won’t tell ours. :)

Julia, yes, he is. And he’s doubly hot when he’s funny.

Sabrina, I haven’t seen The Switch, but I’d like to. I heard it was VERY cute!

  25. Karen Hawkins says:

Sheridan, yeah, he has that whole ‘brother’s best friend casual sexiness’ thing going on. He’s definitely a BBQ sort of guy. I like that.

eviqn, oh, those are all on my Must See list. I just had this great Groupon and so it was pretty cheap … and then turned out to be very funny, too. Kevin Spacey plays a HORRIBLE guy in this movie, but it’s pretty cool the way they wrap things up. I do like my HEAs. :)

  26. Karen Hawkins says:

AmyS, Colin Ferrell was SOOOOO slimy. He said he loved playing the part and came up with the comb-over hairstyle, too. Gotta love a man who doesn’t take himself too seriously! :)

  27. B says:

Karen H, you’re so sweet and polite to my crankiness :)

  28. Suzanne Enoch says:

Ooh, I love Jason Bateman. He was great in “Hancock”. Good FROS day, especially after coming back from a day of buying dead bugs stuck with pins. Sigh. *g*

  29. Alicia says:

*****LIKE***** I have ALWAYS loved Jason Batman and I have been so happy to see him so much in the last several years!!! I have been and Aniston fan since F*R*I*E*N*D*S! -YUP….even had the haircut that was such the rage! :) I probably won’t be seeing this one in the theaters, much to my dismay….there are too many other IMPORTANT movies The Hubs and I must use our babysitting-vouchers to see!! (Harry Potter, Tranformers, etc.)

  30. Patsi says:

I remember Jason on Silver Spoons too. I also remember watching a movie that had his sister Justine and him playing siblings and she was in a rock band but I don’t remember the name of that movie. It was not one of his best but He sure has gotten so much better as he has gotten older. I not a big fan of Jennifer Aniston but I do like her dad John

  31. Tara Stearns says:

The mention of Silver Spoons brings back memories. How I wanted to be rich like that and have a train in my foyer – or was it the living room?? Whatever. It was a fun show and I always like Jason Bateman, but it is so true that he just gets better looking as the years go by.

I have not seen Horrible Bosses, but my sister gave it two thumbs up.

  32. Nicki Salcedo says:

Jason Bateman is refreshing. I thank you for this!

  33. Mary Preston says:

I have not seen it. Jason Bateman does get better looking every year.

  34. susan knight says:

I thought you wanted to know what books we were reading?? I reccomend Eileen Dreyer’s two historicals- Barely a Lady and Never a Gentleman. Those are the best books I’ve read lately. Also Grace Burrowes’ The Heir and The Soldier. I love Jason Bateman!

  35. Terri Connard says:

Stupid questions i hate. This tastes terrible. Would you taste this?

I am also a teacher so i could spend all day on stupid questions. Like, Do i have to do this? Is this for a grade? Are you going to to have a baby? I am 50 years old, overweight, and had a hysterectomy! Kids, gotta love em!
