Have you tried frozen yogurt? IV was an ice cream guy until the cholesterol numbers said he was no longer. He has adapted.
Posted on May 5, 2012 at 10:01 am.
It’s the sugar plus the milk that make anything ice creamy (like frozen yogurt or low sugar/low fat ice cream) a no-go for me. My body can’t handle it anymore, in any dosage.
Posted on May 5, 2012 at 10:31 am.
I miss ice cream too. Butter Pecan, where are you? The closest I can get is a real fruit smoothie with soy milk and ice. Not the same but a healthy alternative.
Posted on May 5, 2012 at 10:19 am.
Light vanilla soy milk and frozen fruit does make a lovely smoothie, I enjoyed that while nursing baby (he couldn’t handle dairy at first). They also make ok soy, and almond based ice cream substitutes… though nothing beats the real thing and I’m very sorry ya’ll can’t enjoy it anymore
.
On a more positive note I now need to reread my copy of A Wrinkle in Time (it’s been far to long), and watch my DVD of The Quiet Man… good stuff there.
