But let’s talk about you.

We hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far! Goddesses are infinitely curious – it’s part of being a writer. So we are going to have some fun today with the ever popular “Getting to Know You” theme! Ready?

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

Do you play video games? Which ones?

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?

What is the weather like where you live right now?

If I had a million dollars I would be bill free and also have liposuction to remove the fat around my waist. New Guy would have his teeth fixed so his self confidence can improve.

I don’t play a lot of videogames but I have finished the story mode to Skylanders Giants. It was pretty good.

It depends on who invited first but either you go dutch or he pays.

The book about me would be called The Care and Feeding of Crazy Cat Ladies.

I don’t have a tattoo yet but I will be getting one next year and it will be of a cat.

The weather at the moment is cool and wet so I am in my flannel pjs.

    1. B says:

Actually, the substance of fake tattoos and real tattoos is quit different. Just sayin’. One allergy would not necessary bring out the other! ;)

      1. Kathy says:

hee hee! I am so allergic to everything, I won’t take the chance. plus at 48, I’m past that stage.
did the extra ear piercings and the wild hair cuts and colour(orange, purple…)in my 20s. I’m good

        1. B says:

I’m allergic at everything, too. Even water (with a higher pH) and sun. I’m allergic to all sorts of food. I’m allergic to food dye. Yet, I have eight tattoos. I actually had an allergic reaction to the red dye in one of my tattoos. It itched for like a month (maybe a bit more?) and it blotted a lot, but there was no harm.

  6. aida alberto says:

If I had a million dollars I would give my parents half so now in their retirement they wouldn’t have any struggles.
I don’t play video games but a lot of them look cool but I play FarmVille2.
A man should always, always pay. I think that’s the first clue as to what kind of man he is and what it says about him.
It would be the Adventures of Aida and boy do I have a lot of them.
I have a heart on my right arm which I got right after my divorce reminding myself not to give my heart completely to anyone. I have a sun and moon on my left ankle which is my favorite because it represents the religion that I practice which is Wicca and I have a butterfly on the left side of my chest which came after a difficult stage in my life and I was able to shed that part and emerge on the other side.
It’s sunny here in Florida but very, very chilly this morning. We’ll see if it warms up later.

  7. Kelly Ryan Watson says:

    1. I would make sure my family is taken care of, and I’d give to a couple of charitites that I like.

    3. What is a date? *Kidding* The man can pay any time he wants!

  9. Amanda says:

If I had a million dollars we’d build the atypical house DH wants on a nice piece of ground with detached workshop. I’d invest the rest.

    No video games.

If it is a formal date, yes, the guy should pay. But, I paid before when DH and I were casually dating many years ago. It made me feel like we were in a more equitable relationship. It obviously worked for us.

The book title would be “Failure to Clean the House”

No tattoos. I don’t know where I would get one, or even what it would be of.

The weather is very warm and windy. Odd for our area.

  10. LoriHandeland says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

    Travel. A lot.

Do you play video games? Which ones?
I don’t play. I don’t like to get caught in a corner and killed over and over.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?
    I do. Old school.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?
    Loves Kids and Dogs.

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?
I don’t. Needles are for flu shots. I have one of those.

What is the weather like where you live right now?
    Cloudy, misty, cold. Blah.

  11. Barbara Samuel says:

A million dollars: set up things to take of my parents, and probably buy a condo in Breckenridge.

I play Bejeweled and Catan. Obsessively, I’m afraid. Wish I had old school Tetris like Kathy.

I’m equal oppurtunity. If a man asks, he should pay and vice versa.

Title: KeepThe Drama On The Page. ;)

No tattoos. I might get one on my foot one day. Blue jay and Camino shell.

    Cloudy. Good weather for writing.

  12. Freshechelle says:

I’d by one or two cozy little places to escape to one on a quiet waterfront, one in the mountains in different parts of the country. Not to fancy coz I want $ left over.

I play on line word games but after becoming a Tetris obsessive in the 90s, no more video games.

    Heck yeah he pays.

    Memoir title: Good Enogh

    No green smears on me.

It’s going to be a nice day today 55 and clear. We’ve earned it.

  13. Pesky says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? I dunno, you wanna give me a million and I’ll show ya? Probably pay off all of my bills.

Do you play video games? Which ones? No. I get too emotionally involved with the characters I create. When they die I mourn… not a pretty thing. Or I make my character and then they’re really wimpy because I don’t wanna lose them, so I make other characters I don’t care as much for and use them as character shields… I’m not sure that’s altogether emotionally healthy.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? Depends. Who asked who out on the date? If I ask my guy out for a movie and dinner he reaches for his wallet, but I pay. I will say the guy better damn well reach for his wallet. I think it’s nice to spoil my guy every once in a while as well.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Strangely I got the suggestion on facebook today that I write a book about my relationship with Prince Fluffypants and call it “Tales of a Crazy Cat Lady In The Making”. So…I walk my cats on a leash, I feed them better than most humans and I talk about them like they’re people. I only have TWO of them. 29 is crazy cat lady. I stand by the number.

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? Honestly, not a tattoo person. I love the look of them, but you need to have a certain mentality. I do henna every once in a while and I’m good for a day or two, then I start scrubbing with lemon juice and salt until it disappears.

What is the weather like where you live right now? It is a cloudy 38 degrees. It’s supposed to go to 65 today. I’m not buying it.

  14. B says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?
Travel. Travel. And travel. Then I’d travel some more. Maybe I’d buy some shoes and purses. :)

Do you play video games? Which ones?
Yes, I do, I play the Wii. (And my old Nintendo 64!) And, umm, pretty much only Mario games. Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite. I AND II :)

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?
NO! Unless you’ve been dating for a while or a long time. Otherwise you should just split.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?
    Poles.

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?
I have EIGHT tattoos, and not all of them stand for something. Some of them are just pretty. I have a fairy on the inside of my right shin, a witch on the outer side of my right shin, I have a Bipolar little guy on the inside of my left shin, a four leaf clover on the outside of my left shin (bottom), an elf on the outside of my left shin (top) — it’s getting a little crowded in there. I have a triquetra on my left wrist, I have stars on my right shoulder and a butterfly flying over a flower on my back.

What is the weather like where you live right now?
Really. Flippin’. Hot. With. No. Flippin’. Wind. :(

  15. Jen Teal says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

I would buy a house and invest the rest.

Do you play video games? Which ones?

At the moment I am doing the open Beta for RaiderZ. I play farmville 2 on Facebook. and on my Android I play hangman, words with friends, soduku, scramble with friends, and solitaire.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?

Yes. I think whoever asks should pay. I would never ask a man out, therefore, he will ask me and pay.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?

    Weirder Than you Thought

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?

I have two. My first one is an Ankh done in Celtic knots that goes from mid-back to my tailbone. I was obsessed with Egypt when I was a teen and I thought it would look cool done in the knot pattern. The second is a dragonfly on my left shoulder blade. That was my latest and still current facination. The next one I get will be the Colo-rectal cancer Ribbon with my dad’s signature to honor is lost battle with the disease.

What is the weather like where you live right now?

Partly sunny warm and windy. We have a cold front moving in tonight so tomorrow will be cold and dreary and maybe rainy.

  16. Julia London says:

    1. Buy a retreat house somewhere. Like Scotland :-)

    2. Don’t play video games. Well, a little Angry birds when sitting in airports, but that’s it

    3. First couple of times, yes.

    4. The Ten Biggest Mistakes and How to Avoid Them (or, things I wish I’d known then but learned the hard way)

    5. No tats. But kinda wish I had one somewhere. I don’t wish hard enough to do anything about it, but just sort of kind of.

    6. 80s and windy

  17. Angela says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? I would be debt free and able to travel and invest some of the money and give some to my church
Do you play video games? I play games on Facebook
When you are on a date do you think the man should pay or not?
    Yes.
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Cross-stitch Queen
Do you have a tattoo? No
What is the weather like where you live right now? Party sunny and breezy and warm for November. Cold front moving in tomorrow night along with rain.

  18. Sheridan says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? Put half in the bank and take the rest to travel, donate to some charities and hire a decorator.

Video games: There are some I will play for a few days, then I get tired of them and distracted. Then I won’t play for months (or years). I like playing fighting games with my brother, mostly for the smack talk and commentary.

I am ok with the guy paying, but I always offer to split it.

My book would be titled: Sheridanigans™ (Sheridan+shenanigans)

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? I don’t have one. I always kinda wanted one, there is nothing I have found that I want to look at for the rest of my life.

What is the weather like where you live right now? 38 with the promise of SNOW!!!!!! :D

  19. dbrown3400 says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? Buy a condo, but one with a cleaning service! There’s some traveling I’d like to do. And more pocketbooks.

Do you play video games? No, although I used to be a FB Farmville fanatic.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? I’m old-fashioned and believe the man should pay.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? “Been There, Done That”

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? No tattoos, although I was tempted once to get a small butterfly on my ankle.

What is the weather like where you live right now? After the cold weather of this week, it’s supposed to be in the low fifties and sunny.

  20. Michelle B says:

With a million dollars I’d buy a lake house with plenty of rooms for guests, and lots of water toys. It will be a magnet for my future grandchildren.

Not much of a gamer, but I do enjoy Bejeweled and Spider Solitare.

The man should pay on a date, if he doesn’t it says volumes.

The book about my life would be titled, “The Best Is Yet To Come”

No Tatoos, most likely never will have one. I honestly can’t think of anything I want on my body, forever.

It is sunny and cool this morning, but going up to 70 today. Perfect College football weather!

  21. Cheri Champagne says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?
A: Donate a chunk to Delta Assist, give some to the family, then buy a modest house (in a nice area) for my husband, sons and I to live in. Furnish it, then put the rest into savings.

Do you play video games? Which ones?
A: Yes. Diablo 3 with my husband. I also really enjoy Mario with my oldest son and my husband. I used to play more, but I don’t have the time anymore.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?
A: Date? What is this word? I haven’t been on a date since my Anniversary… but yes, the man should pay.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?
A: Good grief. “The Crazy Life of a Wife, Mother, Author, and All-around Nutty Woman”

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?
A: No. My mom would disown me if I got one. And I have a really good relationship with her; I wouldn’t want to jeopardize that.

What is the weather like where you live right now?
A: It’s cold. Overcast and cold… though not as cold as the rest of Canada, I’m told. It’s about 9 degrees here at the moment, when further East, the HIGH was -9 and snow.

  22. Debbie says:

Here we go! I promise you I am not that exciting or demanding. I would probably be one of those shy retiring girls in you books that no one ever notices.

    1. What would you do if you had a million dollars? I really can’t imagine. Money is never at the top of my list. I am not rich or even that well off. What I am is, happy. If I had a million I would probably buy that small cottage in the woods with a bring fireplace and chair. A large book case. The rest I would give to the animal shelters and horse rescue.

    2. Do you play video games? Which ones? I play Freecell on my computer. Otherwise I do not play computer games.

    3. When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? it is very nice but if he cannot I can pay my way or even treat him.

    4. If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Quiet Solitude

    5. Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? Nope Don’t mind the. Some are amazing works of art.

    6. What is the weather like where you live right now? Overcast, heavy skies with a hint of rain. Not to cold – 62.
    Perfect weather for reading. :O)

    1. Debbie says:

Wish they had an edit button! That should read – big fireplace, Capital I for It, Don’t mind Thought not, the. i am also missing some commas. Sorry!!! :O)

      1. Debbie says:

Another typo! AGH! I will stop correcting myself.

  23. Audrey says:

My million dollars would get banked or invested. I’m more into assuring income than getting more stuff.

    No video gaming or tattoos.

I think whoever invites should pay. BUT I’d still think less of a man who didn’t at least try to pay.

My book? Probably something like “It’s All About Family”.

In southern Alberta, we got a dump of snow, about a foot and a half, and it’s only -15 so 5 degrees F. Brrr.

  24. Angharad says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?
I would bank some of it (how sensible and boring), take my friends on holiday, give some to some worthy charities. Buy a holiday home somewhere – maybe Italy? A million dollars doesn’t stretch as far as a million pounds sadly.

Do you play video games? Which ones?
I have an unhealthy addiction to Minesweeper. But it’s getting better. I have a Wii, but I never remember to use it…

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?
Hmm, depends on what the date is I suppose. I did have to pay everything on a date once as my date forgot his card. I wasn’t overjoyed…

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?
Stories of the Girl Who Blushed

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?
No, for I am a) wimpy, b) don’t know where to have one, and c) too fickle and would just change my mind a few months later

What is the weather like where you live right now?
Cold, dank and wet. Welcome to England in November.

  25. Mike says:

As an ‘Honorary Goddess’ I feel as if I am allowed to participate in this survey. My answers are:

What would you do if you had a million dollars?

I would use part of it to fund a no-euthnasia animal rescue shelter. Part of it to put all of my nieces and nephews through college. Then I would buy a bunch of copies of my own book BLOOD RIDERS so the publisher would sign up more and I could have lots more fun with the characters.

Do you play video games? Which ones?
    Video Poker in Vegas

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not?
I don’t really date men so I don’t know how to answer this.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it?
There Should Have Been A Presbyterian At The Meeting or
That Spot On The Rug Don’t Look So Bad

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for?
I have one but it was done in invisible ink. It’s on my chest and says “I’m With Stupid” The arrow points up toward my face.

What is the weather like where you live right now?
Breezy and sunny but rain is coming. On second thought that might make a better title for a book about my life. RAIN IS COMING.

    1. Archer says:

      LOL

    2. Kelly Ryan Watson says:

I like it when you visit, Mike! You are a hoot!

      1. Cheri Champagne says:

        Agreed! :)

  26. Marlo H. says:

    1. If I had a million dollars, my husband and I would first take care of our parents. They are both at and beyond retirement age but still working. It’s time they had some freedom to retire and not worry. Then we would buy us a home, put money into accounts to make sure the kiddies have college paid for. Then we would share some with my brothers and sister just because. The rest would go into savings and not be touched.

    2. I play sudoku and spider solitaire. But that’s all I have the patience for.

    3. I believe in old fashioned chivalry. The man should pay. It says a lot for his character and how he was raised. But he should also be bendable if his “date” wants to treat him.

    4. My first thought for a title is “Are You Nuts?” We get that a lot when people find out we have 5 kids.

    5. No tattoos

    6. We are in the teens with snow. I wish we were getting the kind of snow our Northern Neighbors were getting.

  27. May says:

    1. I would go on vacation ASAP! Then I would put the rest in my savings account.

    2. Nope, no vidoe games for me.

    3. I think the man should pay. But I would offer.

    4. Head in the clouds.

    5. NO tattoos… scared of pain!

    6. It’s cold here!

  28. Gwyn says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? Fix this house (before the rubble basement disintegrates totally) and rent a cottage in Ireland for at least a year.

Do you play video games? Which ones? Sometimes. Wii golf, mostly, because Hubble can play without adding to his pain.

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? If a man asks a woman out, he should pay. If she asks him, she should. You don’t invite someone to your home or a gathering and expect them to cover the costs (unless it’s potluck, of course; there’s always an exception), so common courtesy would require the inviter handle the monetary responsibility.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Are We There Yet?

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? Nope. Not a fan.

What is the weather like where you live right now? Overcast, a few showers, and warmer than it’s been. Looking forward to a glorious day (60s! In November!)awash in sunshine tomorrow.

  29. Julie says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? I would pay off my house and give it to my daughter, her hub and my little munchkin girl, and we would have a house built with a little land for kids to play. Pay some bills and put money aside for munchkin girl for college and for a rainy day.

Do you play video games? Which ones? Not really. I have a very fast typing speed, but can’t seem to become adept at video game controllers. ;)

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? I haven’t been on a date in over 20 years…I think whoever ASKED should pay. If you ask him, you pay; if he asks you, he pays.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Mama Bear and her cubs

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? No tattoos. I know it would hurt, and I’m not into pain… ;)

What is the weather like where you live right now? WINDY, but absolutely gorgeous and sunny–approx 75…BUT a cold front is coming and it will be raining and into the 30′s by Tuesday. Texas weather…if you don’t like it, stick around cuz it will change. ;)

  30. LSUReader says:

What would you do if you had a million dollars? Pay off any debts, give generously to my church, set up trusts for the grandkids’ education…and, of course, pay way too much of it in federal taxes

Do you play video games? Which ones? No–not unless you count solitaire and crossword puzzles on my Kindle

When you’re on a date, do you think the man should pay or not? Oh my, I haven’t dated for decades. I’ll pass.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would they title it? Her Mother’s Daughter

Do you have a tattoo, where is it located and what does it stand for? None, thank goodness.

What is the weather like where you live right now? It’s gorgeous–77 degrees, bright and sunny. I’d love to share it with all of you.

  31. Archer says:

I would quit my job and travel with hubby.
