Excellent choices! I remember the one soldier you had years ago who was marvelous. You ran him several times. Believe he was Air Force? Remembering all those who served our country and are serving today.

Oh Donna, there are so many choices. It was hard to decide!
And yes, on a serious note, we need to remember our Veterans. They and their families have given — and still give — so much.

God bless America in so many ways.

Fresh, I know. I’m already proud of our veterans, but I look at these pictures and I’m proud all over again. Sigh.

God Bless all those who serve to keep our countries Free and that we may live in Peace.
And these guys are certainly up to the job.

That they are, Kathleen. That they are.

Men in uniform = heroes! Each and every one. <3

So true!

Excellent choices ALL, Karen! I’d enlist. I’d be a prisoner of war if these guys were my captors!
As the daughter of a veteran (six years Army / Korea combat and twenty-one years Air Force / Vietnam service) I am proud and humbled by the service of our men, women and canines in uniform. God bless you all and keep you safe and bring you home.

I’d POW with you, Louisa.
And amen! Beautifully said.

Spartacus passed away… so sad

He was such an amazing actor, wasn’t he?
I had this picture on my desktop for a while in his honor.
Posted on November 12, 2012 at 12:34 am.
He was. He also seemed like such a nice family man in real life.

“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.” – George Orwell
I salute, thank, and love them all!

Gotta go with number 4 too!

He’s yours.

Gotta love a man in uniform!!! Incidently, as a Navy brat, I have a photo of my father as a young Lieutenant wearing his dress blues. He’s my dad, but I can see why he turned my moms head 54 years ago!!!
Posted on November 11, 2012 at 8:13 pm.
ladydawgfan, a uniform on a handsome man will definitely turn heads! It’s so nice that you have pictures. It’s always sort of amazing to see our parents before they were our parents, isn’t it?

Nice pictures! My son is in the Navy. He is actually 4th generation Navy. My husband and I are both veterans. We have so many family members who are veterans. I have pictures of my dad in his Marine uniform. WOW! Something about the Marine dress uniform.
Posted on November 11, 2012 at 8:44 pm.
Julia, I SALUTE you and your entire family. Wow. Such generosity. Thank you for all you’ve all done!
And yes, there is DEFINITELY something about a Marine dress uniform. Something NICE.

Excellent choices Karen. Please let me be a POW. Pretty please.
Seriously, I take my hat off to all Veterans and appreciate all the service that they have and continue to our country.
Posted on November 11, 2012 at 10:30 pm.
Ginger, I’m POWing with you.
Our veterans are a national treasure!

I think the first one with only his back showing is my favorite. I think the small of the back is an under appreciated body part!
Posted on November 11, 2012 at 10:37 pm.
Danielle, that’s a very interesting point. It’s a sensual area, but you rarely read about it.
Hmmm. I may have to use that the next time I write a love scene.

Aye, Cap’n. I’ll salute!

The photo of Andy Whitfield makes me very sad – I hope his wife and children are safe and doing well.

The only thing that would make these pics better would be some nummy pics of a few sailors.
However, please don’t forget that not only men serve but so do many women. Today isn’t only a day to recognize the men who serve but the women also. It never fails to amaze me the looks I get when I ask for my veterans discount.
Posted on November 12, 2012 at 12:25 am.
I salute you!!
Posted on November 12, 2012 at 3:40 am.
Thank you to all of the men in uniforms! We are blessed to have them!
