My mother’s amazing bread pudding which I actually ate the next day because I couldn’t even finish my dinner. Can’t eat as much as I used to.
Didn’t need the stretchy pants.
Bread pudding and strawberry cheesecake. We’re not traditionalists when it comes to desserts. I usually request something because my Mom is the Queen of weird desserts. Remember one year she made this weird jello concoction. Number one I hate jello and number two it had these weird something floating in it. No I didn’t try it.
Went shopping Friday. Never, ever again.
My Mom starts decorating first week of November so now by Thanksgiving everything’s up and done.
Not yet.

Mashed potatoes all the way!
Stretch pants? Well jeans with stretch but I don’t go crazy at thanksgiving, it’s not my fave foods.
Mini, individual Bundt cakes in chocolate and orange. Yum yum
Nope, went to 2 nearby quaint towns to check ‘em out. They were lovely.
Decorating is a “if the spirit” moves me endeavor.
I miss being excited about Christmas. I’ve made it too hard to surprise me with a great gift which was one of things I liked best. I also like giving the perfect gift but that doesn’t always present itself.

1. Favorite thing you ate at Thanksgiving dinner? My hubby made a wonderfully juicy turkey and I really enjoyed it.

As it was not Thanksgiving Canada, I cannot comment on 1,2 &3.
4. No, some of the stores in Canada had Black Friday sales, but I would not go out in that crowd on a bet.
5. The decoratios and the tree will go up sometime aftet the 1st of December.
6.I do like Christmas, but i dont’ get as excited as I use to. In December I will have family and friends over for our towns Sparkle in the Park and that usually puts me in the spirit of the season..

1. The apple dumplings a family friend brought. Hmm, super delicious!
2. I already had on “comfy” pants, so…
3. There was no pie, but there were some native dessert foods as well as mini cheesecakes, the apple dumplings, mini pecan tarts, and some mini fruit jello stuff that I forgot the name of.
4. I went shopping on Thanksgiving night AND yesterday. I didn’t expect to shop yesterday, but I went along w/ the parents to do so.
As for deals, I think I did great in some respect while I could have done better in some other stuff. But that’s okay.
5. Early this month.
6. Ummm, I’m more excited that the term/semester will be over soon. As for the holidays…well, since a certain someone has a birthday next month, it’s a….umm….
Posted on November 24, 2012 at 7:00 pm.
1. My Mom’s made-from-scratch chicken and dumplings! YUM!
2. I had my comfy pants on. I came prepared!
3. My Mom’s Japanese fruit cake and her cherry pie!
4. I would not have ventured out Thursday or Friday to shop
for love nor money! I had to work Friday, but I stayed in
the bakery kitchen out of the line of fire!
5. Always decorate the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a family
tradition. Looking at my lovely little tree all lit up on
on top of my television hutch. It has to be up there to
prevent dogs from being tempted to water it and cats
from being tempted to climb it.
6. I am working hard to get into the Christmas spirit. I am
watching Christmas movies and reading Christmas romance
anthologies. I have collections of both and I always
bring them out this time of year. I fight very hard not
let my work at Walmart kill my enjoyment of Christmas.

Replying on Sunday, but here goes:
1. Favorite thing you ate at Thanksgiving dinner? My homemade cornbread dressing. Mine is my mother’s recipe, and I’ve never seen another like it. It’s not dry and stiff, we keep it more juicy with broth. And I don’t use boiled eggs, I pour raw eggs over everything and bake it until the eggs are done (everything else in it is already done). Best stuff around!
2. Did you don your stretchy pants before or after the meal? No, but I could have.
3. What kind of pie or dessert was served? Dewberry pie. They’re kinda like blackberries.
4. Did you go shopping yesterday? If so, did you score any great deals? Yes, went to Half Price Books to try to get the $100 gift card–didn’t get that, but still got the $5 one, so that was cool too. Also went to Walmart and got Thor, Gone With the Wind, Megamind and Green Lantern on DVD, and a Bluray DVD player (plus some paper towels and soft scrub) and got out of there for less than $70 for all of those things.
5. When do you start decorating for the holidays (or have you already)? Usually, Thanksgiving weekend, but my BIL and his family are home from Utah until Tuesday, so it will probably be another couple of weeks before we get it all down from the attic.
6. Are you excited that there are only 30 days until Christmas (or 13 days until Hanukkah, 29 days until Festivus or 31 days until Kwanzaa)? Yes! Can’t wait!
