Janae, my dad’s boss retired and he and his wife were lodge keepers over the winter at a lodge in Yellowstone that you can only get to by snowshoeing. They had such great stories from that winter. I would love to do that one day!
Your story about your first kiss is simply awesome. Nice to hear about a first setting a bar.

6. I think the thing I am happiest about giving someone is the camera we gave my sister this year. She has wanted a nice one for her own use for a long time and so our mom, her daughter and I went together and got her a camera that is not only nice but easy for her to use.

8.The salt lamp on the desk in my room at my son’s house. We are still setting the room up for my use when I visit.
9. My dad gave me his Olds 88 when he got another car. We lived in Nebraska with all its nasty winters so they were always salting the roads, the floorboards rusted out and I could see the road under my feet. I drove that car all the way to NYC and the foothills of W.Va before it finally gave its last gasp.
10. I have absolutely no clue when, where or who was involved in my first kiss, that is a blank spot on my memory bank.
Posted on December 27, 2012 at 2:42 pm.
eviqn, the dragon sounds lovely. I bet that’s gorgeous.
I had to laugh about your rusty car. My great aunt had an old, old car; it was a 1952 something. Anyway, it was in pristine condition except for the floorboards. They were just gone. Probably a good part of the frame was gone, too. But the interior — perfect. Salty roads are tough on a car.
Posted on December 27, 2012 at 9:32 pm.
Karen, you know there are some things you have that there is no enough money on the planet to get it from you? That dragon is on that list but then so is the plastic dragon that blows bubbles they gave me when they were five and seven.
Salt on the road is death to the undercarriage of cars and trucks.

Your first car sounds better than all of the rest of our cars, which seem to have been pretty crappy overall. Congrats on breaking our losing streak!
Posted on December 27, 2012 at 9:43 pm.
Being a mom is the biggest but being a legal secretary to my husband (who I swore I’d never work for, lol) runs a close second…
I loved that car and it broke my heart to park it and later sell it. I ran out of boyfriends that could fix it for me, lol. I did a lot on my own, even changed a fender that was crushed by my brother (got a good one from a junk yard) but the mechanics were way over my head. When it quit running I had to take the bus, but I got rides to church from my future husband so it wasn’t all bad.

Btw, your gaming set up would make my son green with envy. I’ll be sure to tell him about it. Heh!

E.R., oh a kiss while asleep! I just wrote a scene exactly like that in the novella I wrote for the Duchess Diaries Series. I think that’s so romantic! Well, it is if you like the guy who kisses you, but you did, so that’s excellent!
