Please release me! & Giveaway

I am so thrilled that it’s the release day of Book 1 of my new trilogy. Beach House No. 9 comes out today, followed by Bungalow Nights on February 26 and The Love Shack on March 26. All three books take place during a “Summer of Love” in Southern California’s Crescent Cove. Wary hearts encounter each other in this idyllic setting: two miles of sand where colorful cottages sit right on the beach.

Because the three books come out within three months, I had to write them and stockpile them so it seems like the longest wait ever until I can share with readers this special place and the wonderful heroes and heroines who find love there. The stories are sexy, sunny, and are sure to warm up the coldest winter night. I hope you’ll give them a try!

But now that all the hard work of writing is done, it’s time for me to sit back and celebrate the day. I have a bottle of champagne that arrived on my doorstep this afternoon. There’s always cold Mexican beer in my refrigerator and the lime tree in the back yard has plenty of the green citrus to give them that special zing. Or maybe it’s time for hot chocolate (or chocolate of any kind!) in front of the fire as I let my mind drift away to a warmer season at Crescent Cove and Beach House No. 9.

What’s your go-to when it’s time to celebrate? Do you make chocolate chip cookies and indulge in them right out of the oven? Is it brie and a bottle of wine? A hot bath and a new book?

Tell me how you acknowledge a big accomplishment. One commenter will win a copy of the second book in the series, Bungalow Nights (that just last week earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly).

Happy Release Day Christie! I had a big accomplishment today when I had my exam this morning and hopefully did well in so I am celebrating with a wine cooler and a pizza for tea. I am hoping that a couple of books that I ordered a few weeks ago will arrive in the next day or so so I can use one of them as a reward and the other as a birthday present to myself for last week. I just might have a nice bubble bath and read for a bit later on, it depends on how I feel later on after my shows.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Lovely! Great job on the exam. A new book unexpectedly hit my doorstep so I might be picking that up today.

  2. Judy F says:

    Happy Release Day. Congrats.

I like to celebrate with my BFF Ann, dinner out or just hanging out. I also like to be home and do nothing except read. Cleaning can always wait another day.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Absolutely no cleaning on a celebration day! I love a day that I can set aside for just reading. Best thing ever.

  3. Liz B. says:

Congratulations! How exciting for you to have three great books coming out so close together.

In our family we have a dinner that gets cooked for a lot of small celebrations. Carnitas from a recipe that my Cuban grandfather brought with him to America. (It’s pork for tacos that’s incredibly flavorful and delicious) I’m not sure if the recipe is from Cuba or Mexico, where he lived for many years before coming to America. Anyway, When I graduated college, I made carnitas, when we all get together (now that we’re scattered around the country), the carnitas come out. I’ve tweaked the recipe some to get more flavor but it’s still basically the same. That’s our celebration food.

  4. Freshechelle says:

Happy spate of new release days! Can’t wait to start reading ‘em.

Celebrations still equal ice cream to me. No wonder my friend says I have the diet of an 8 year old.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      I’ll admit I bought a carton of Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food yesterday. :)

  5. LoriHandeland says:

Happy release day! I’ve had this book on order at Amazon it seems like forever! I can’t wait to read about a little sun.

Champagne is always my big accomplishment celebration. Love the stuff.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I might indeed have to tickle my nose with a few bubbles later today. I also just realize I have a hair appointment, so my hair will be shiny while i sip.

  6. cail says:

Happy Release day! I read Beach House Beginnings and have been waiting patiently for BH#9 to come out! Can’t wait!

I like to celebrate with bubble baths and dinners out with dessert. Champagne always works too! Congratulations!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Dinners out with dessert! And no sharing… Lucky for me, the dh is not into sweets like I am, so even if they bring two forks he’ll usually only take a small taste. Hope you enjoy BH#9.

  7. Amanda says:

Congratulations on your release. We try to do something special to celebrate, but we don’t do the same things every time. A dinner out. Wine or champaign. Whatever the event, we’re more of the verbal kind of kudos family. If it is really special, I’ll take requests and make whatever kind of meal someone wants.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I like that you’re a verbal kind of kudos family. Words can warm the soul as well as wine or food. (Though I love the idea of someone cooking me a special meal.)

  8. Claudia Dain says:

Congratulations, Christie!! What a wonderful idea for a series, and I ADORE the titles! I’m heading to B&N today to get my copy of BEACH HOUSE NO. 9.

For a big accomplishment, a milestone, I buy myself jewelry. I’ve got quite a stash at this point.

    :)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I looked at some jewelry and just could not make up my mind. Maybe I’ll wait until something really strikes me and then indulge. I love the idea that you have a stash. Good on you.

  9. AmyS says:

    Happy Release Day!!!

We usually celebrate with dinner out. The person with the accomplishment gets to pick the restaurant.

I reward my own accomplishments with books, wine and some quiet kid free time to enjoy them. I tend to reward myself quite a bit! :)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

We all need some kid-free time. And dh-free. Not that we don’t love them, but some lovely me-time is a must.

  10. Rochelle says:

    Happy Release day indeed!

We celebrate as a family and go out to a special dinner. If it’s my celebration, I also throw in a delightful cosmetic purchase!!!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I like the idea of a cosmetic purchase. A visit to Sephora is always fun. Thanks for the tip, Rochelle.

  11. Julie says:

Congratulations on your release day and the starred review! :)

If it is something that happened to ME that we are celebrating, we definitely go OUT to eat. ;) But, if it is something that we are celebrating for my loved ones, I cook whatever they want that’s their favorite thing–pork chops, roasted chicken and veggies, etc., and their favorite dessert. The hub always wants banana pudding, my kids usually want cookies or brownies.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

My kids always want chocolate chip cookies or Snickerdoodles. Or something they call “donut cake” which is really just a pound cake. Hmm…all of those are sounding good to me.

  12. miranda says:

Congratulatios! For things as big as a book release, we usually do either a dinner out, or a treat like grilled salmon or steak at home. Little things might mean a small treat like chocolates or a slightly less healthy dinner than usual. Extra rest or a bit of spoiling in terms of getting a new book or toy for the one who deserves kudos also works :-) .

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

The dh just suggested he grill salmon for me tonight. That’s sounding good!

      1. Vickie Powell says:

Had the best blackened salmon Caesar salad last week! Yum!

        1. Christie Ridgway says:

          Oooh! That sounds delish!

  13. Julia London says:

Congratulations, Christie! How exciting for you. My celebrations usually consist of booze and food and very close friends and family. Any excuse to get together and talk about me. hahahaa

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

LOL on the booze! I had a martini over the weekend and this might be a martini night too. Only one, though. I’ve learned that lesson via piercing two-martini headache.

  14. Barbara Samuel says:

Happy happy release day, Christie. I’ve been waiting for these books for a long time. So excited!!!!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

You’ve lived through each one with me! Hard to believe they’re finally here. :)

  15. Angela says:

    Happy Release Day Christie!

For me celebrating something special is a massage and dinner out with dessert.

It’s just me and my cat. I give her treats and she purrs on my lap.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

A purring lap cat is a daily celebration. I was excited that my aloof darling kitty Goblin deigned to jump up on my bed last night and snuggle next to me for a short while.

  16. SuzyQ says:

    Happy Release Day Christie!

If it’s a big celebration, then dinner out with the family. If it’s just something I want to celebrate, I usually go for a pedicure.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I was thinking of getting a pedicure after my hair appointment today. But even here in SoCal it’s boot weather. However, fun to look at pretty polish even while pulling on socks.

  17. LSUReader says:

Something chocolate is my go-to celebration food. Champagne always helps. Congrats on the great reviews for the trilogy. I’ve got to catch up on my reading!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Chocolate is surely in my future today. I just got back from my morning steps-and-hill walk and so won’t even feel too guilty. :)

  18. Lois M. says:

Well, if they aren’t lying about it, my copy of part one should be coming today… but we all know the good old USPS. ;)

As for celebrating, well, go out to eat! So… I need to do something to go out to eat more often… ;)

    Lois

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Hope it arrives, Lois! I’m sure we can think of a reason you need to go out and eat. Aren’t Tuesdays special? :)

  19. Kimh says:

Congrats on book and gray reveiws
    we. Go eat. Party whoo
    have. A great week

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      Thanks so much!

  20. Rachel Gibson says:

    Happy release day!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thanks, Rachel. It’s a great feeling.

  21. Maria P says:

Congrats on the release of your new book, Christie!

For a really special occasion, we go to Houlihan’s, where my hubby & I went on our first date. If we can’t go there, we go to our favorite Chinese buffet in town. If we want to cook in, I love to have some shrimp(my absolute favorite!) & a bottle of wine, and, of course, something sweet. I like carrot cake or strawberry short cake, but since my husband doesn’t, we usually get something with chocolate, which works for both of us!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Okay, you just put carrot cake into my head which I adore. I might even have to make one this week.

  22. Kelly Ryan Watson says:

Happy release day! I read BEACH HOUSE BEGINNINGS, and couldn’t wait for the rest. Celebrate any way you choose! I personally celebrate with dinner and an alcoholic beverage or two.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thanks, Kelly! Hope you enjoy the series. I will definitely be toasting with something tonight.

  23. May says:

I buy something like expensive chocolates or a pretty dress for myself. :)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Shopping! That’s always a go-to treat for me, too. Might have to stop by the mall.

  24. Christi Barth says:

Just finished reading Not Another New Year’s Eve – so good! Snazzy dinner out plus champagne is the best way to celebrate. Can’t wait to start reading this trilogy!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thanks! So glad you enjoyed NANY! Hope you’ll enjoy the beach house series as well. :)

  25. Michelle B says:

Happy Release Day, Christie! Going to find my copy today.

Big celebrations at our house usually involve out to dinner. If it’s me there could be a pedicure. Report card day, back when my kids were in school, always meant DQ Blizzards.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Aaah. DQ Blizzards. That brings me back. Dh would take me to get them when we were in college. Great idea. Yum.

  26. Sheridan says:

    Happy Release Day!

I’m a big supporter of celebratory massages, manicures/pedicures, bottles of bubbly things and maybe something sparkly or shiny. An evening with friends laughing and having fun is also a great way to celebrate :)

    Enjoy!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      Thanks so much, Sheridan!

  27. CrystalGB says:

Happy Release Day! For me, it is a girls day out with my best friend.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I walked this morning with my posse and I have a girls day scheduled for Saturday. Always fun to celebrate with friends.

  28. evlqn says:

Congratulations Christie, I was looking for an excuse to check out Amazon, thanks for giving me one.

We celebrate in different ways for different things. When the boys were younger and I still lived with dh we would have celebrants choice for dinner, with the boys it was nearly always spaghetti because their didn’t really like it so we rarely had it. With dh it was usually Manhattan Clam Chowder, shrimp creole, or wine poached halibut all of which I hate but would eat on special occasions. For us Friday was a go-out or take-out night, I didn’t cook on Fridays. We had so many choices for dinner within six blocks; Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Greek, Italian,Soul.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I want to come eat at your house! We have a special red plate that we bring out. It says “You Are Special Today.” I think I’ll have lunch on it.

  29. Cathy Shouse says:

If I’ve met a really big goal, I like to plan a family trip somewhere. In fact, I will sometimes plan a trip as a carrot to make me finish something.

Otherwise, a trip to a bookstore where I can wander among the stacks is heavenly!

I still remember the wonderful lunch talk you gave in Chicago at Spring Fling and still listen to the recording occasionally! LOL

I would love to win this book! cathy underscore shouse at yahoo

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Oh, thanks for remembering that speech. I had so much fun in Chicago. Great ppl.

  30. Suzanne Enoch says:

    Congratulations on triplets, Christie!!

I always imagine myself celebrating like Joan Wilder when she finishes her book, but in reality it’s a strawberry shake, large fries, and a chocolate chip cookie from Carls Jr. That’s my end-of-book celebration. *g*

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thanks! I may have to go that route for lunch. And boy, it does feel like I birthed triplets. Lucky for me they don’t need diaper changes. :)

  31. Maureen says:

Congratulations on your new book! We usually celebrate with a nice dinner.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      Thank you, Maureen!

  32. Madeline Hunter says:

I rot and enjoy a book that i read just for fun. I’m easy to make happy.
Congrats on the release and back to back program.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thank you! I just got back from Trader Joe’s and laid in whine and chocolate covered caramels. Then wanted to kick myself for also not buying oatmeal raisin cookies. I think I’m getting into this celebration thing way too much!

  33. Janae says:

Happy Release Day!!! I need to check my kindle. I’m stuck home, again, with my daughter, who is recovering from the stomach flu and not quite prepared for her book report, today.

We celebrate with food. Sometimes it’s at home, but mostly it’s dinner out with dessert.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Oh, Janae, I hope your daughter feels better soon. Poor kiddo. That’s no fun. Hope you get a chance to do some reading.

  34. bn100 says:

    with chocolate

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Bought and partially eaten already! :)

  35. E.R. says:

Congrats on your hard work, Ms. C!

As for my go-getter…I would buy a book. I would indulge on a spending that I wouldn’t really feel guilty about and read it, which is another pleasure out of the spending.

That and maybe get something to eat. Nothing “healthy” just something to make me fell “good” after that accomplishment.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Sounds like a perfect celebration to me!

  36. Michel Reinhard says:

I always celebrate with my family. We have a special dinner and a fabulous dessert! Sometimes the celebration includes some shopping!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Definitely shopping! I was fixated on food for a bit, but now want to also spend.

  37. Stephanie G says:

Celebrating with friends or family with dinner and maybe a movie and maybe splurging a little on something for myself. :)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I think we are all of like minds. :)

  38. Pamiam says:

I can’t think of any big accomplishments I’ve had lately or any coming my way anytime soon. If I want to celebrate something it is usually eating out with a friend or one of my kids. Hubby doesn’t care to eat out so I leave him at home.
If I can count dragging my butt out of bed every day and going to work then my indulgence would be reading. So I guess I celebrate every day. :-)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Good for you for celebrating with a book every day. I do that too. Always makes me happy.

  39. Sue Peace says:

I picked this book up!! Can’t wait to read it! I read Beach House Beginnings when it came out and have been anxiously awaiting this!! :)

    1. Sue Peace says:

And I forgot to answer your question, lol!!! Depends what the celebration is for! A family get together for things is always great, or a dinner out!! :)

    2. Christie Ridgway says:

      Hope you enjoy it, Sue!

  40. Alexis says:

When I accomplish something big I like to go out to lunch or dinner twice…once with my friends and once with my family! when its with my family we go someplace more expensive (especially since my parents pay!) Congrats on this book and the upcoming ones!!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I wish my mom lived closer. ;)

  41. Lori Allman says:

    Happy release day!

Lovely dinner with friends, wine and laughter is my favorite way to celebrate!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Getting ready to open a bottle of something with which to celebrate. It’s 5 o’clock SoCal time. Hmm…should I start with a margarita?

  42. Shlana Sims says:

The best is sitting with a book and a cup of warm beverage (I am equal opportunity on coffee and tea, and some baked good that I made in celebration (usually brownies) :)

    Happy Release day to you!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thank you! I just uncovered a box of brownie mix in the cupboard…

  43. raeline says:

Id go out for a nice dinner then come home and have a nice long soak in the tub with a good book .

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      Sounds perfect, Raeline!

  44. Rita Wray says:

    Congrats on the release.
I celebrate with a special dinner and a great dessert.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I think we might be having filet mignon tonight. Dh went off to the store murmuring about it.

  45. Shari says:

Congrats on your new release. Already have it on my kindle. Food is my celebration. The sweeter the better!!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Hope you enjoy the book, Shari!

  46. Jennifer Zorko-Legan says:

Congratulations on Release Day! I like to Celebrate with my husband and family. I also like to celebrate with a big cup of coffee, a warm blanket and a good book when I am alone :)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I had to go out a couple of times today but your idea of alone-celebration is just like mine. Maybe I can indulge later this week.

  47. Kelly Tinder says:

I always celebrate with a nice dinner out at a favorite restaurant. Sometimes I even splurge on something outrageous for myself that I don’t need but want. It all depends. Congratulations on your new release and fabulous review!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thanks so much, Kelly! I’m trying to think of a splurge-item. I love to shop, so even if it takes me a while that will be okay.

  48. MJ in SoCal says:

Celebrating generally means a fun night out with the family (husband and son) which probably includes a nice dinner, some yummy dessert!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Dessert seems to be the trend of the thread!

  49. Josette Schaber says:

    Congrats on the release!

Celebrations really depend on the accomplish. A small accomplishment might find us getting ice cream, a big accomplishment might find us have a nice dinner out, and then a huge accomplishment might mean something shiny for myself! LOL Really though, it is all about being able to celebrate with my family and friends. Those that take the time to support me and go through the work and effort with me.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

And having the good health to do so! I appreciate that more than I used to after dealing with broken leg and the surgery for it.

  50. Janice says:

Celebrating accomplishments are always a thrill but just celebrating a good life is nice too. I love trilogy series and I’m looking forward to immerse myself in these books. A perfect time of year to begin.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I hope you’ll enjoy them, Janice. Summer in winter!

  51. Kathy H says:

Congratulations on the new release..I guess I know where I’ll be going at lunch tomorrow..Love series.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I hope you’ll look for the book, Kathy. Thank you!

  52. natasha says:

hmmm.. a nice bubble bath sounds wonderful. but since i have wonderful kids its almost impossiable. so i would have to say a nice dinner out with my hubby, a few drinks and a romantic night afterwords. ;) i mean it is my birthday in a couple of days. :D

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

My bday is coming up soon too, Natasha! Have a happy and romantic one. :)

  53. CateS says:

Nice glass of wine is my reward! Congrats on another release!

  54. Jamie K says:

The usual celebration for a big accomplishment is a nice family dinner out or a favorite family meal & dessert at home, the important part is family time together to recognize the accomplishment.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Too often I think we don’t take those moments to appreciate our accomplishments (maybe a mom/woman thing). I’m determined to get better at it.

  55. Tracey Peckford says:

Happy Release Day! I like to celebrate with a bottle of champagne with my boyfriend…OR…A night out with my girlfriends.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I’m doing it all. Celebrating with the dh tonight, with girlfriends on Saturday. And my New York editor was in town last weekend so got to pre-celebrate with her.

  56. Cindy C. says:

Congratulations and hapy release day! If the celebration is for me we usually go out to eat, hopefully somewhere where I can have sangria. If it’s for someone else I usually cook what they want for dinner or make a special dessert. Why am I the only one that wants to go out?

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

My guys are pretty much homebodies too. I think it has to do with the big screen TV.

  57. Vickie Powell says:

Family dinner out to celebrate then usually some chocolatey (sp?) dessert back home! On smaller occasions, warm choc. chip oatmeal cookies–that my hubby has been making since 5th grade!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Will he share his recipe? Will beg for choc chip oatmeal cookies!

  58. Sue G. says:

We usually go out for a nice meal. Daughter #2 just found out in December that she was accepted into The Ohio State University’s Biomedical Engineering program so we all went out for steak to celebrate!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Congratulations to your daughter. What an accomplishment. A fab reason to celebrate!

  59. Renee says:

nice cup of coffee and a good book is how I reward myself Can’t wait to read the series

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Hope you enjoy the books, Renee!

  60. Renee P says:

I LOVE Mexican beer and just had two last night! That is definitely my idea of celebrating! Good luck on your series!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      Thanks! Mexican beer is awesome.

  61. Kortney says:

I like to celebrate an accomplishment but talking to my sisters first or celebrating with them. They are the ones that I always want to share my successes with.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Love that you want to share with your sisters. Only have a brother, though am very close with my s-i-l.

  62. Leanna Hiner says:

I like to celebrate by going to a nice restaurant. What restaurant we go to depends on what kind of food I want to eat.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

      My fave is Italian. Yum!

  63. Tanya Kuhl says:

Hot bath and a new book, you had me at hello! Add a glass of white wine and a little chocolate and I am in Heaven!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

I’m good with all of that too!

  64. Krista says:

I go out to dinner with my sister. Have a glass of wine and maybe some desert

  65. Eileen A-W says:

Happy release day Christie!! I am so looking forward to reading these 3 books. I love how you celebrate. My celelbrating depends on the situation – dinner with the BFFs or with my hubby, maybe a mani/pedi or just a hot shower that steams up the bathroom. Then there’s the bargaining , if you get this done then you can read for 30 minutes. I always seem to forget to stop reading and go back to whatever it is I”m suppose to do. Have a wonderful celebration. You deserve it with getting 3 books out within a couple of months of each other. :-)

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Thank you so much! I’m definitely in the mood for a mani/pedi. Must go before girls’ night on Saturday.

  66. Cindy P. says:

There is nothing like a romantic time in the bedroom with my hubby.

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

Yay, Cindy! Bet your dh adores you.

  67. Kim says:

    Happy release day!

I will celebrate an accomplishment by taking time off to read, going out with friends, baking, or indulging in chocolate!

    1. Christie Ridgway says:

All this talk of baking has put me in a mood. Looks like we’re having a crowd for the Super Bowl so I will do some baking. Love it.

  68. Kantu Malhotra says:

For me, its usually dinner ordered in, so no cooking. AND shopping for gift to self, usually a book.

  69. Mary Preston says:

A celebratory dinner is always on the cards. We’re happy to even celebrate Tuesday around here.

  70. Sylvia Mendoza says:

A massage. A lovely Pinot Noir. French fries. Cranking up music and dancing in my living room. Or just margaritas with good friends. Or any combination of these. :)

Congratulations, Christie! Looking forward to reading your stuff and FICTION again after my master’s program ends in March. That last day will be a celebration day, for sure. :)

Chocolate and a book is how I celebrate. I don’t care what is going on else where I am reading and eating chocolate to celebrate. My chair becomes a DO NOT disturb zone.

  72. Patoct says:

With a yummy meal of course. Been looking f/d to this series.

  73. Betty Hamilton says:

When I graduated from college at the ripe old age of 50, I celebrated by having my diploma professionally framed and hung it up in my home!! Other than that, I usually celebrate with a nice dinner out with family.

  74. clynsg says:

The things I do to celebrate an accomplishment have changed through the years. When the kids were small, it often involved doing something with them–one big one was taking my daughter to Disneyland after getting my master’s. Later, it usually involved treating myself to something that I wanted, but didn’t really need. Now, I find that just curling up with a book (hopefully a good one!) and something indulgent to snack on works very well!

  75. Bonnie Capuano says:

My celebrations are all done with my husband. Whether we go out for dinner or he cooks at home it doesn’t matter it’s the spirit of it. I must admit most of my celebrating, lately, has been when we are blessed with another grandchild. HA

  76. Michelle Fidler says:

I really don’t have big accomplishments or occasions to celebrate. When I finish reading a book, that feels like an accomplishment! I love brownies so I make them homemade instead of cookies, which get overdone easily. I don’t drink so that’s out, but a Cafe Mocha from Starbucks would be good.

  77. Janice Hougland says:

My hubby and I, my sis and one of our sons–all get together (we live in the same town…all others away) and have a festive dinner in a restaurant of our choice. And, of course, we have various bottles of bubbly and terrific menu choices as all of our appetites differ. We leave a HUGE tip for our waiter/waitress because we end up occupying our table for a couple of hours! But we laugh and play catch-up and toast each other’s victories and news. And after we are home again, my hubby and I celebrate in our own very special way. ;-)

  78. BookLady says:

I like to celebrate by going out to a fancy dinner with my husband.

  79. holdenj says:

    Congrats on the new release!
Certain events like that at our house are deemed lemon meringue pie worthy. Yum!!

  80. Jo says:

Congratulation! When I am in this situation, I buy more yarn!

  81. Shirley says:

Congrats, Christie!! Great Job, AGAIN!!! We like to celebrate family things; family style – the more the merrier! And boy, do we have more!! Very entertaining!! ha!
